Well, it is 2005-06 back over once again? At least, it appears like. That being said, former Women’s Champion Trish Stratus finally showed up on Monday Night Raw last night after a hot streak of rumors. For weeks, the Toronto great was assumed to be returning home for a major WrestleMania program. However, the creative kept ricocheting with their tentative plans for Stratus. Thankfully, those came to fruition this week.
As known, Dakota Kai & IYO SKY defended their Women’s Tag Team Championship against Becky Lynch & Lita during last night’s main-event on Raw. Everything seemed perfect for the Damage CTRL members until they heard that iconic laugh on the titantron screen. After that, Trish Stratus came out with a deafening ovation from Grand Rapids.
Coming back, she immediately took out Bayley, who was at ringside area helping out her girls. As a result of the uncalled tsunami caused by WWE Hall of Famer, Becky & Lita found some daylight. Eventually, the babyfaces did the unthinkable and captured the Women’s Tag Team titles from Kai & SKY. The entire Van Andel arena came to life when Lita executed her iconic Litasault over the Genuis of Sky to script history. You can check the entire shenanigans here.
And just to add, despite being locally advertised, Ronda Rousey was nowhere to be found on the show this week. Presumably, the Rowdy One was supposed to crash Raw with Shayna Baszler. Also, there was a belief that they’ll lay down a challenge towards the Women’s Tag Team Champions for WrestleMania. An interesting observation for Stratus last night was she came running down that aisle rocking her classic Attitude Era white top. That sure as hell would’ve fed everyone with a dose of Stratusfaction.

Is Trish Stratus going to face Bayley at WrestleMania 39?
Barring the official confirmation, the WrestleMania path for The Man & The Queen of Extreme seems pretty clear. However, that only leaves last night’s returnee Trish Stratus with a question mark. Well, she can align herself with the brand new Women’s Tag Champs to square off against the Damage CTRL in Los Angeles. But, if WWE moves forward with the aforementioned plans with Tag Titles up for grabs, Trish Stratus doesn’t need to worry much.
As seen on Raw, the 47-year-old went straight after Bayley and unleashed numerous jabs on the Role Model. If anyone remembers, last time when Raw was held in Toronto in August, Stratus & Bayley teased a singles showdown during their promo. Could that be an indication that these megastars are on a collision course?
With just a month to spare for The Grandest Spectacle, the creative can simple line up this dream bout to their WrestleMania card. It just feels metaverse considering Trish Stratus & Lita are seemingly headed to WrestleMania with such massive implications.
