The massive success of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is visible through his social media numbers. The most followed American man on Instagram has over 390 million followers and continues to add many more. But this tremendous growth of Johnson was made possible with the advice of Dana White, who persuaded him.
While talking in an interview with Piers Morgan, the UFC CEO stated that he had explained to The Rock why he should join social media. Dana White said, “I kinda explained him from a business perspective” and insisted he join it. He cited that he set up Dwayne Johnson with his social media team to get him started in that area. Johnson then joined Twitter (now X) in February 2011, while he joined Instagram in October 2012.
Dana White persuaded The People’s Champ to join social media when he had over 8 million followers. Johnson’s rank as one of the most followed accounts on Instagram keeps fluctuating between the top 5 individuals. Moreover, The Rock’s position on X is quite significant too, with over 17 million followers.
The Rock made his surprising return to WWE on the September 15, 2023, episode of SmackDown. The Great One stepped foot in the ring after nearly four years in the new Endeavor era of WWE. The last time he appeared was when SmackDown started airing on FOX in October 2019 and began a whole new era for the blue brand.

Dana White claims Jon Jones to be the Baddest Man on the Planet
In the same interview with Piers Morgan, UFC CEO Dana White was asked about the greatest fighter who could fight for his life. In response to the question, White went quite lateral and stated his respect for Muhammad Ali. He mentioned how Ali changed things in boxing, considering the racism and culture of that period.
But to choose a name, Jon Jones came up in Dana White’s mind, and the latter named Jones to be the icon. White defined Jones as the Baddest Man on the Planet by giving an example of what he means by that term. He cited, “You throw two guys in a room and who comes out. And it is hard to not say Jon Jones is that guy right now!”
Jon Jones is unbeaten and is also the current UFC Heavyweight Champion. He had defeated everybody, and the only remark on his profile comes from the no-contest matchup with Daniel Cormier in 2017. He faced a loss via disqualification at the hands of Matt Hamil back in 2009 at the UFC-TUF 10 Finale.
