When CM Punk made his emphatic return to WWE after nine years at Survivor Series: WarGames, fans just couldn’t control their excitement. It was unbelievable to witness a man returning to a place with which he had burned all bridges when he left. However, reality kicked in, and fans started wondering if his wife and former Superstar, AJ Lee, would return to WWE as well.

Well, Aaron Varble of SEScoops has provided an important update regarding AJ Lee. And it’s not what fans might be looking for. Varble claims there have been no talks about her potential return at all. He also mentioned that the topic of her comeback is completely off the table at the moment.

Lee has teased fans regarding a return, as she often posts her videos of training in the ring with CM Punk on social media. The 37-year-old star had a lot of accomplishments to her name, such as becoming a record 3-time Divas Champion. However, she retired from in-ring competition in 2015, citing permanent damage to her cervical spine. AJ also admitted that she was also dealing with some mental stress following Punk’s controversial release on their wedding day.

The former Divas Champ tried her luck in the writing industry after her retirement. She wrote her memoir called ‘Crazy is My Superpower: How I Triumphed by Breaking Bones, Breaking Hearts, and Breaking the Rules’. Moreover, she also got critical acclaim as a writer on multiple comic book series as well. Previously, she has expressed her desire to return to wrestling. Needless to say, only time will tell whether she runs the clock back one more time or not.

NJPW wrestler Shota Umino fires shot at Jack Perry using a CM Punk catchphrase

The aftermath of the backstage fight between CM Punk and then-Jungle Boy Jack Perry is still haunting the latter to this day. As such, his current rival NJPW wrestler, Shota Umino, decided to ruffle some feathers and called him out on social media with a familiar catchphrase used by The Best in the World.

The 26-year-old stepped foot for the first time in New Japan Pro Wrestling and defeated Umino. After the bout, Umino took to X and called him out by phrasing Punk’s famous line, ‘It’s clobberin’ time’. The Shooter challenged him for a match at Ryogoku next week.

Also, Jack Perry. It's clobberin' time. It's time for punishment, including the mansion.

AEW co-owner Tony Khan indefinitely suspended Perry after the All In controversy in August. Since then, one of the Four Pillars of the Promotion hasn’t made an appearance. It will be interesting to see whether he ever performs for the Jacksonville-based company or not.
