Bayley has been one of the popular female wrestlers in WWE as of now. Bayley has proved her worth during her 8 year run in WWE. She along with Sasha Banks have been known for their phenomenal athleticism in the ring. Bayley has also managed to keep the crowd captivated with her baby face nice girl persona as well as her villainous character, which she has cemented in 2019. Bayley’s heel character has been a successful one and the wrestler has been appreciated for the audacity to take a different role.

Bayley won the SmackDown Women’s Championship in October 2019 from Charlotte Flair and that was the day when she actually established her heel by destroying the inflatable tube men at her entrance. Bayley’s record-breaking 380-day reign as SmackDown Women’s Champion was ended by The Boss in one of the greatest Hell in a Cell fights ever, and “The Boss” Sasha Banks had held SmackDown Women’s Title for the first time. Both Women had told a terrific tale in a barnburner of a Women’s Championship match.

Bayley also known as Pamela Rose Martinez in her real life has been sidelined for more than a year due to an ACL tear she sustained during training at the performance center in Orlando. She was slated to face Bianca Belair at the Money in the Bank 2021, but was sidelined due to the injury. Martinez was meant to return in nine months, but her recovery has taken longer than expected.

On social media, Pamela has sometimes posted updates on her comeback. One of her recent tweets this past month was of a pair of lace-up boots, which sparked rumors that she will soon be making a comeback.

Again this past month on June 15, Bayley’s birthday, NXT wrestler Cora Jude wished the “Huggable one” on Twitter and requested for a bout. Martinez responded to her a few days later, thanking Jude and requesting that she be thoughtful and respectful of her since she has a back injury. This gave us an indication that she won’t be returning soon, at least at the Money in the Bank live event.

Notable wrestling Journalist Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now provided an update on Bayley’s return, He said that “The Huggable one” will return to action very soon.

Bayley should be back somewhat soon,” said Meltzer.

If Bayley was to be uninjured and present in WWE now, she would have surely been a part of the Money in the Bank Live event. She has been the winner of the Money in the Bank Ladder match in 2019. This year’s MITB event will take place on 2nd July at MGM Grand Garden Arena, Paradise, Nevada.
