The WWE Universe was sick and tired of Ronda Rousey’s lacklustre run as the SmackDown Women’s Champion. The year 2022 was a good one for Rousey as she became the SmackDown Women’s Champion for the first time and overall clinched the title two times. Rousey was seen as a babyface as well as a heel in 2022.
Even though the first half of the year 2022 was good for her, she drew criticism in the second half after winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship. The run was disastrous, with no major feud and Rousey’s performance in several matches filled with botches. She was criticized for not taking wrestling seriously.
Rousey’s championship run came to an end when Charlotte Flair came back from hiatus on the December 30th edition of SmackDown and defeated her. According to a recent report by Fightful Select, Ronda Rousey won’t appear at the Royal Rumble this year.
Before losing the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Flair, Rousey was initially slated for a match at the event. However, it seems that the Baddest Woman on the Planet has decided to opt out of the event. She was also slated to appear on the RAW 30 episode, but it was later known that she had backed out.

Ronda Rousey recently revealed her next goal in WWE
Ronda Rousey was pushed to the top card soon after her WWE debut. She impressed the wrestling fan base through her performances and her dedication to the business. Rousey has been a one-time RAW Women’s Champion and a two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion as of now in the company. The Baddest Woman on the Planet also became one of the first women to compete in the main event at WrestleMania.
Additionally, she also won the Royal Rumble last year. It seems like she has achieved almost all of the primary things in WWE. During a recent live stream on YouTube, Rousey stated that she isn’t interested in fighting for the world title anymore and wants to focus on the tag team division.
“I don’t know guys, I’m tired of Charlotte [Flair]. I’m tired of that title. I already did it you know. I am thinking about taking over the [Women’s] tag division.”
Shayna Baszler has been acting as a backup to Ronda Rousey in recent times. Rousey and Baszler have previously fought as a tag team, but never for the tag team championship. The duo has the potential to be the Tag Team Champions, as Baszler has been a tag team specialist before.
