Things don’t take long a long course to turnaround in professional wrestling. A particular gimmick or character which might feel dull today might not hold true for tomorrow. Same is happening with Dominik Mysterio right now as he transitions into an extremely decisive phase of his wrestling career.

The young lad is son of the legendary luchadore Rey Mysterio and has been in touch with this business ever since he was a toddler. Back in the day, young Dom used to visit shows his father performed at and was also involved in one of the most controversial storylines in WWE.

We might never know how tough it would’ve been for Dominik Mysterio to deal with the realism about his real father as the company ran a storyline between Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero and the custody for Dom was up for grabs. However, Rey won that match against Eddie at Summerslam 2004 to keep his son by his side.

At Clash at the Castle, Dominik Mysterio finally turned heel for the first time ever since he debuted in WWE low-blowing Edge and turning his father Rey upside down with a massive clothesline. The crowd popped big as they’re hoping to get something intriguing in Dominik.

Following week on Raw, he basically confirmed his turn when he aligned himself with The Judgement Day, with Rhea Ripley acting like her mentor and therefore somehow reminding about that alliance between Eddie Guerrero and Chyna long ago.

This week on Raw, Dom faced the Rated-R Superstar Edge where the Hall of Famer was out on a purpose to seek vengeance against that grown up kid. The match saw Edge decimating Dominik until The complete Judgement Day invaded and launched yet another resounding attack on him.

Former WWE manager Vickie Guerrero recently commented on this particular storyline featuring Mysterios, Edge and The Judgement Day saying she’s enjoying it very much and it feels somewhat jealous of what Dominik Mysterio is currently doing there in WWE.

I’m really jealous of what Dominik’s doing right now on RAW. I know Rhea Ripley is doing a good job, but I had Dom first. I’m just saying. Who knows what would happen if I was ever to manage him, but right now, I’m in AEW. I’m really happy with what they’re doing. It’s a fun storyline and I’m getting a kick out of it. They’re doing a great job.”
