Jade Cargill’s recent signing with the Stamford-based promotion has created a stir in the wrestling community. From WWE veterans to fans, Cargill has become the main topic of everyone’s conversation. Recently, wrestling veteran Jim Cornette made a shocking accusation against WWE for promoting Cargill more than Cody Rhodes.

The wrestling veteran offered his insight into WWE’s promotional strategies for Jade Cargill on the latest edition of the Jim Cornette Experience. Cornette alleged that either TKO or Vince McMahon was making a huge fuss about them signing Cargill. An exclusive video package was also presented on Raw and SmackDown to publicize the signing of Jade Cargill.

Reflecting on WWE’s marketing strategies for Jade, Cornette said, “Somebody’s got an idea for her that they love, and whether it’s Vince or whether it’s the new ownership (TKO) or a combination or whatever. They didn’t talk about Cody like this when they signed him back, and he’d been there before, and he was a whole lot bigger deal in AEW than Jade was. This is specifically because it’s her and whatever they’re going to have her do.”

Cornette criticized WWE for hyping Jade Cargill more than their star, Cody Rhodes. He argued that while Cody had more significance in AEW, WWE was pushing Cargill heavily, indicating they intended to propel her to the forefront of the company

A flurry of rumors was recently doing the rounds about WWE already showing interest in stars such as Ricky Starks, Malakai Black, and Samoa Joe.

Dave Meltzer described this potential trade-off as reminiscent of the 80s/90s WCW. However, he admitted that AEW was not in a deplorable condition, but WWE remains far more dominant in the business.
