John Cena became an insanely popular WWE Superstar, thanks to unmatched grit and dedication in WWE. He didn’t just climb the top of the WWE mountain, but claimed the spot for a very long time.

Cena is currently giving his all in Hollywood, and the projects he has bagged are a testament to his hard work. However, this has led him to rare appearances in WWE. The former WWE Champion hasn’t competed in the squared circle in well over a year!

Reports suggest the 16-time World Champion will return to the ring at WrestleMania Hollywood. After all, the ‘Show of Shows’ is in the home of Hollywood, Los Angeles! However, there is no word on who his opponent might be.

It’s no secret how close John Cena and Vince McMahon were. Hence, after Mr. McMahon’s release, Cena’s WWE future seemed bleak. But there’s no reason to worry anymore! 

As per Steve Carrier of Ringside News, John Cena will compete at WrestleMania 39 despite Vince McMahon not being in charge. He added that Vince personally asked Cena to help WWE in any way if required, and vice versa.

Who will John Cena face at WrestleMania 39 in Hollywood?

John Cena has faced countless superstars in WWE. However, there are several superstars in WWE today that he hasn’t faced. While fans have hoped for a match between Gunther and Cena, or even LA Knight vs Cena. There is one superstar who looks to be the perfect opponent for John Cena at WrestleMania. And that superstar is none other than Austin Theory.

Austin Theory has had a forgettable run in WWE ever since Vince McMahon stepped down. The former Youngest Mr. Money in the Bank failed in his cash-in on Seth Rollins, and looks to be distraught since.

If Austin Theory wants to bounce back, a program with a cocky heel like him against John Cena would be the perfect match. It would not only add credibility to Theory, but would also force John Cena to bring out his A game.

After all, Theory is a gifted athlete inside the squared circle. It is only the attitude part where he needs to put in the work, and a program with Cena leading into WrestleMania can do just that for 25-year-old WWE Star.
