The news that Vince McMahon wants to return to the WWE hasn’t gone down well with the WWE Universe. McMahon, who announced his retirement in the midst of the “Hush Money Scandal,” now wants to return to the WWE. The former Chairman of the WWE now regrets his decision to retire.

The investigation into the scandal disbanded in November. However, in addition to the alleged sum paid to several women, McMahon now faces fresh charges of sexual assault from two women. Female referee Rita Chatterton has filed a lawsuit against McMahon for the alleged 1986 incident. McMahon had ra**d her in his limousine as she refused to perform oral sex for him. McMahon also faces charges for assaulting a woman in Spa in 2011.

The former CEO has denied those allegations and refused to pay them in damages. He also holds the majority of the stake in the company and has more voting power than anyone else in it. This problem might be solved if the board of directors takes legal action against him or tries to block him. A Vince McMahon supporter, who recently had a chat with Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer, is not in favor of McMahon’s return to the company.

He said that the networks would also not be in favor of Vince McMahon’s return, and McMahon, being the major stockholder, could decide to upend the board. The ally stated that the shareholder lawsuits would eventually cripple the company, and even if NBCU were the prisoner of the deal, the shareholder revolt would hamper the entire organization.

“What if (he) decided to upend the entire Board (he has 80 percent voting stock) and is still the largest owner of common stock? The class action shareholder lawsuits would cripple the entire company……Unless he figures a lesser role (and how can he of all people take a lesser role?), but the leak from his side is that he was given bad advice, so now he’s blaming people.”

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has given his opinion regarding Vince McMahon’s return, and the Nature Boy supports the former chairman’s return to the WWE. WWE veteran Jim Cornette stated on the recent edition of Jim Cornette’s Drive-Thru that many wrestlers have returned to the company and are having a great time working under Triple H. He said that most of the guys left WWE due to Vince’s poor decisions and certainly wouldn’t want to work for him again.

“All we’ve been doing is talking about for the past couple of months now or more – guys want to go back and work for Triple H……They didn’t want to work for Vince because he had gone out of his mind, and Max Dupri was an example, and Ezekiel and Elias and Elrod and Elrod Hubbard, his manager,”
