“I respect the man’s hustle”; When Vince McMahon tried to feature in a Hollywood movie and move out from the WWE creative team
Vince McMahon
Vince McMahon is one of the most successful and intelligent businessmen in the sports entertainment industry. The chairman of WWE has single-handedly taken the company from bottom to top and has built his own empire with a net worth of around $2 billion. McMahon has proved everyone that he is never done and keeps trying new things as well.
Back in 2012, when Freddie Prinze Jr was also a Vince McMahon guy, the chairman was offered to move into movies from the creative team which the Boss liked. But McMahon though rejected his offer, wrote a script and sold it WWE, produced his own movie with himself in the lead cast which Freddie Prinze Jr felt as a hustle. Here’s what Freddie Prinze Jr said:
“This guy asked Vince if he could transition from the creative team to the film division because he had experience in film. He had experience in television, but not really experience in film. I respect the man’s hustle, but this was a hustle. He started selling his own scripts under a pen name to WWE and was producing his own movie and then paying himself to do it. I saw this right away. I know a Hollywood hustle when I see one.”
Vince McMahon reportedly wants some changes in the current product
The current product that WWE is featuring has not fascinated many in the WWE Universe. The company has put all the championships on the Bloodline and the other Superstars are trying hard to get to the top. While McMahon is living Reigns’ push, the chairman is seemingly concerned with the creative team who is not able to process a lot of exciting feuds in the recent months.
