After the return of Vince McMahon earlier this year, there is a lot going on in the WWE. In July last year, Vince shockingly announced his retirement as the chairman of the board. The shocking decision was made by him due to various allegations and lawsuits filed against him. After he left, Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan were announced as the co-CEOs of the company. He also lost creative control of the product. Later, he surprised everyone with his return earlier this year. Vince returned to the company as chairman of the executives. After his return, WWE was reportedly planning an appearance from Vince at the Royal Rumble this Saturday.
According to reports, Vince McMahon was scheduled to make a live television appearance on Royal Rumble. However, due to new lawsuits filed against him and the possibility of more, the plan was altered. They have probably decided to hold off on his live appearance for a while. Previously, Vince had been the target of two lawsuits filed by WWE shareholders and the Detroit Police Department. And now another lawsuit has been filed against him based on his history of sexual harassment accusations.
The reports suggest that, after previous lawsuits and a new lawsuit, there is more to come. Following the previous lawsuits, there is a chance that more will be filed against Vince. WWE must have thought this might not be the right time to make him appear on live TV. As a result, they may postpone his appearance for a while until the dust settles. Reports were not clear about the reason for his possible appearance this Saturday. Rumors suggested he might be entering the rumble. But most likely, the plan was to open the show with him. But now the original plans have reportedly been dropped.
Vince McMahon’s return surprised everyone

After shockingly retiring from the company as the chairman in July last year, he also lost his position as the head of creatives. Triple H took over as the head of creatives. Months after his retirement, Vince McMahon made an unexpected return as chairman of executives. However, Triple H is still the head of creatives. Earlier this year, right after Vince’s return, Stephanie McMahon resigned as the co-CEO of the company. Nick Khan stays as the CEO of the company.
Since his return, reports suggest he has started interfering with the creative decisions of the business. Reports also suggest that he is planning to sell the company to potential buyers. He reportedly started making a deal with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund for the sale of the company last year.
Since Vince has returned as the chairman of executives, a lot more changes are expected. Sure, Triple H is still the head of creatives, but no one knows for how long. Reportedly, Vince has already started interfering with the creative and executive decisions of the business. However, he is facing three lawsuits in total and also a sexual allegation, and reportedly more lawsuits are to come. Considering all the outside allegations and lawsuits, the future looks bleak for Vince McMahon, as he might have to leave his position again following all the outside noises.
