Demi Bennett popularly known as Rhea Ripley is former two time RCW women’s champion who currently works for WWE on Raw. Rhea Ripley spent four years on the independent circuit in her home country of Australia wrestling for promotions like New Horizon pro Wrestling ,Riot City Wrestling and Melbourne City Wrestling. In 2017 Ripley wrestled her last match in RCW as the champion against Kellyanne and was successful in defending her title. In 2017 Rhea Ripley left RCW and signed a contract with WWE.
Under the developmental contract Rhea Ripley made her WWE debut while participating in the Mae Young Classic where she lost to Dakota Kai In the second round. She made her television debut in 2017 on an episode of NXT where she participated in a batlle royal to determine number one contender for NXT Women’s Championship. After another impressive showing in Mae Young Classic 2018 where she made it to the semi finals Rhea Ripley was moved to the NXT UK brand. In NXT UK after defeating Toni Storm in a finals of the tournament Rhea Ripley was crowned as the inaugural NXT UK Women’s Champion.

Rhea Ripley would hold the title for 139 days before dropping it to Toni Storm at NXT UK Takeover : Blackpool. In 2019 Rhea returned to NXT where she interrupted Shayna Baszler which was a catalyst for them to start feuding. Rhea Ripley led Team Ripley against Team Baszler in first ever women’s Wargames match where she pinned Baszler for the win. On an episode of NXT Ripley pinned Shayna Baszler to win the NXT Women’s Championship and became the first women to hold NXT UK and NXT women’s title.
Rhea would go on to defend her title against Charlotte Flair at Wrestlemania 36 where she was pinned by the Queen. Shortly after that she made her way to the main roster where she challenged Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship. She would go on to defeat the Empress of Tomorrow at Wrestlemania 37 to become the WWE Raw Women’s Champion for the first time in her career.
Ripley has had an impressive career in the WWE but Vince Russo thinks that WWE isn’t using her to her full potential. In an interview with Wrestling Buddy show Russo was full of praise for the Former Women’s Champion. Russo then went on to criticize his former employers WWE :
“I think Rhea Ripley is a killer, I think they use her wrong. They don’t have a clue how to use this woman but I think she’s a star.”
Rhea Ripley is currently a part of the Judgement Day alongside Finn Balor and Damian Priest.
