Wade Barrett is one of the most talented wrestlers that WWE has ever had. Barrett is notable for playing the villainous leader of the stable “Nexus”. Wade Barrett’s work as the heelish Nexus leader was loved by the WWE Universe, and today the Nexus is consistently ranked as one of the best stables of all time in the WWE.
After the end of the Nexus and The Corre Storyline, Barrett pursued his career as a singles performer and fought for the World Championship on several occasions, but failed to win it.
In late 2013, Wade Barret established a new gimmick called “Bad News Barret,” which involved him giving bad news regarding the storylines in the WWE, but in a comedic way. He was praised for his work during the Bad News Barrett Gimmick and fans absolutely loved him delivering his promos.
The gimmick is regarded as his best work in the WWE. When fans began to adore Barrett and treat him like a babyface, the gimmick, which was intended to be offensive and disrespectful to the audience, was cancelled.
