“Wow, that’s the guy,” NXT Superstar wants to face Cody Rhodes in the WrestleMania main event

Cody Rhodes’ return to the WWE was one of the best moments of the year. After his departure from the company in 2016, no one expected Rhodes to return to the WWE. Everything was going well for the American Nightmare until a pectoral injury halted his run in the company. Rhodes was injured before his encounter with Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell. He fought with the injury and was lauded for his courage and performance in the match. The match with Rollins earned a five-star rating from Dave Meltzer.
The recovery time was said to be nine months, but according to a recent report by Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer, Rhodes would return to the WWE soon. Only time will tell when Rhodes will actually return to the WWE. Cody Rhodes is seen as the top babyface in the company and a possible contender to beat Roman Reigns. Rhodes has earned the status of a top wrestler in the wrestling industry as of today. Many people look up to him as an inspiration and want to go one-on-one with him.
NXT Superstar Grayson Waller has expressed his desire to fight Cody Rhodes. During a recent appearance on After the Bell Podcast, he said that Cody Rhodes is a big deal as of now, and he has a different aura when he walks in the room. Waller expressed his desire to main event WrestleMania against Cody Rhodes.
“He’s the measuring stick right now when it comes to superstars. I’ve met Cody before and when he walks in a room, it’s a different feeling. It’s like, ‘Wow, that’s the guy.’ If I’m going to main event WrestleMania, I want to stand across from the guy.”

WWE has an interesting plan for Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes’ last appearance in the WWE was on the June 7th edition of RAW. It appeared that Rhodes and Rollins had ended their rivalry after Rollins shook Rhodes’ hand. However, as Rhodes was leaving, Rollins attacked him from behind with a sledgehammer. “The Visionary” kept attacking Cody Rhodes over the injury until he was stopped by the officials.
Rhodes also appeared in the pre-recorded video before the MITB event, where he described every competitor in the ladder match. He also stated that he is looking forward to returning soon. The rivalry doesn’t seem to have ended, as The American Nightmare will surely look to confront Seth Rollins again.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer, WWE is looking to resume the rivalry between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. This indicates that the WWE Universe will see a possible showdown between Rhodes and Rollins again in the future.

“There will be more talk about Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes soon”
Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins have fought each other three times at the PLE. The two have fought each other at WrestleMania 39, WrestleMania Backlash, and Hell in a Cell. Rhodes has defeated Rollins in all of these events. Furthermore, Rhodes has been undefeated by Rollins in live events.
