Friday Night SmackDown is known for delivering gripping content despite airing one hour less when compared to Monday Night Raw. Just when fans thought they had seen all for the night, the Blue brand delivered a massive return in the form of AJ Styles. The Phenomenal One came to deliver a piercing forearm on Roman Reigns. However, it’s the surprising heel turn that caught everyone’s attention.

It happened after Styles’ return, as Randy Orton and LA Knight got another ally in their struggle against the Bloodline. The former WWE Champion, to the shock of the fans, delivered a vicious clothesline on the Megastar. Even the Viper was left astonished when he saw Styles doing the unthinkable. It seems that the veteran has something to say concerning what happened.

Styles looked fumed as he was backstage. He got interrupted by the WWE backstage crew, who asked for his comments on the incident that took place. The Phenomenal One looked a bit annoyed and replied with a big “nope” before walking off.

For those who don’t know, Styles has been absent from WWE programming since early October. He was supposed to tag along with John Cena against The Bloodline at Fastlane. However, he got taken out by the faction before he could make it to the ring. Since then, fans have been eager to see Styles make his return.

Wrestling veteran decodes AJ Styles’ return on SmackDown

AJ Styles made a shocking return on this week’s SmackDown, helping Randy Orton and LA Knight fend off the Bloodline. When the dust of conflict settled, he further surprised everyone by attacking Knight. The episode went off the air with a lot of unanswered questions.

It seems veteran wrestling journalist Bill Apter has something to say about the deeds of the Phenomenal One. He believes that AJ’s actions could eventually cater to a rivalry with Knight that might conclude at WrestleMania 40.

Where I think it's gonna go is they needed to find a spot to LA Knight that wasn't a demotion. That's the feud - LA Knight, AJ Styles. I think that's where it's gonna be, Cody-Reigns, it's gonna be Seth Rollins with CM Punk, and it's gonna be LA Knight in that position with AJ Styles.

Apter supposedly wanted to reflect on the concern that the WWE Universe might have for LA Knight’s popularity. With some massive returns in the last few weeks, fans of the Megastar see him a bit left out of the spotlight. Squaring one-on-one with the Phenomenal One could be that much-needed rivalry that could springboard Knight’s career.
