The longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion, Gunther, made an appearance on SmackDown tonight. Although he wasn’t scheduled for the main show, he wrestled in a dark match against Cameron Grimes and won the match. However, after the match, the Ring General decided to insult the Charlotte crowd.

As he was insulting and mocking the crowd, he was interrupted by Charlotte’s own, R-Truth. Gunther once again insulted Truth by saying he was too old to be in a wrestling ring and warning him to get out of his ring. The arena buzzed with loud ‘NO’s after Truth asked if they wanted to see him go back.

After Truth ignored his warning, Gunther tried to attack him, but the 55-year-old veteran got the better of him. He used the moves of his ‘Childhood Idol’ John Cena and forced Gunther out of the ring. R-Truth stood tall in the end and closed the show as the audience cheered. Ever since his return, Truth has been doing one of his best works and is still pretty much over with the fans.

The Ring General will not be a part of the Elimination Chamber PLE due to his visa issues. It looks like he has found a new challenger in ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso. They shared an intense moment last week on Raw when Jey interrupted Gunther’s 600-day title reign celebration.

As for Truth, he continues to be a hilarious problem for the Judgment Day, and may even get an opportunity to fight for the tag team title with The Miz. The fans will always have a special place in their hearts for the veteran, doesn’t matter what he does.

R-Truth expressed his opinion on the infamous tag team match between Awesome Truth and The Rock & John Cena

R-Truth is a WWE legend and has been part of many legendary matches and feuds. One of those feuds came when he was a part of a heel tag team with The Miz. They had a tag team match with two of the biggest stars of the company, The Rock and John Cena.

It is hard to believe that in 2011, Miz and Truth were two of the biggest heels in the company, and they were fighting Rock and Cena at Survivor Series. The legendary veteran reacted to the video compilation of his greatest moments in the company. He said he just couldn’t believe that he was fighting The Rock and Cena and called the match-up a ‘dream made in heaven.’

The Miz told me the other day about it, I didn't believe him, absolutely not. To have John Cena and The Rock, myself, and The Miz? at Madison Square Garden? Man, that's a dream made in heaven. That's a whole apple pie, you can't eat that in one serve.

R-Truth completed 25 years in the company last year and is a certified Hall of Famer. The fans still want him to have another run as a heel before he decides to hang his boots.
