The go-home edition of Friday Night SmackDown took place in Miami, Florida. The show was filled with exciting matches and segments and some exciting showdowns even took place in the Post-show darkness. The focus lay on the battle that took place between the two former WWE Champions, Drew McIntyre and The Miz.

The Scottish Warrior’s victory has been seen as statement-making before the Royal Rumble. He is among those leading superstars that have been eyeing the prize of headlining WrestleMania, for quite some time.

While the 2-time WWE Champion looks to reclaim his glory in front of a live audience, it seems he decided to make a fellow WWE Champion, The A-lister, as his first example. Thus, giving a loud proclamation to many superstars who look forward to stopping him en route to WrestleMania 40.

The match saw both the Superstars being evenly matched as they went back and forth. Both the Superstars were heavily indulged in showboating with the audience. They were even seen replicating the iconic taunt of the WWE Hall of Famer, Hulk Hogan.

The Scottish Warrior’s course has been quite rocky in recent times. Back-to-back losses against the Visionary, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins had not only shaken his confidence but, his faith in the WWE Universe. However, his last confrontation against the two possible forerunners for the Royal Rumble victory has raised the hope among his fans of finally seeing a dedicated and unsettled McIntyre.

Controversy has been one of the most loyal friends of CM Punk. The Second City Saint has ruffled feathers wherever he has gone. In his previous run with the Stamford-based company, he had a big rivalry with the A-lister, The Miz. However, it seems both superstars have let the bygones be bygones with the latest video showing them together.

CM Punk’s 2024 Royal Rumble Vlog shows him together with The Miz. The two superstars are spending time together on Raw’s backstage, where they can be seen in a jovial interaction. While both of them have yet to cross paths on television, this video came as heartwarming news to their fans.

With the Royal Rumble, the level of anticipation among fans and superstars has been taken to a different level. CM Punk recently gave a glimpse of this when he stood toe-to-toe with the American Nightmare. With multiple directions in sight, fans are excited over how the A-lister and the Best in the World might collide inside the Royal Rumble.
