Becky Lynch competed in the main event of Monday Night RAW last night. She squared off against Zoey Stark in an entertaining Falls Count Anywhere match, in which she emerged victorious. Afterwards, The Man raised a black arm band with Bray Wyatt written on it and dedicated her win to the late superstar. Moreover, she shared a moving story about Windham after the show went off-air.
The 36-year-old recalled her early days on the main roster when she was about to compete in a ‘Tables match.’ Also, it was her first title defense on a pay-per-view. Furthermore, Becky revealed that she was a rookie back then on the main roster and had no idea how to set up a table. According to her, nobody was willing to help except a wrestler by the name of Bray Wyatt.
The Eater of Worlds approached Becky Lynch to help her in the situation. The latter remembered him saying, “Come with me,” and training her during a live event for the upcoming marquee bout. “At the pay-per-view, at TLC, even though he had a match and was busy, he spent the whole afternoon helping me and showing me,” said the former women’s champion.
Lynch narrated the story to tell the fans what kind of person Bray Wyatt was. Furthermore, she claimed that her victory on RAW that night was for Windham. Finally, Becky showed her gratitude towards the fans and told everyone to hug and keep their loved ones safe.
Trish Stratus claims that feud with Becky Lynch has prolonged more than she thought
Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus will most probably end their rivalry at the upcoming premium live event, Payback. They are set to face each other in a Steel Cage match. Previously, their feud was rumored to end at SummerSlam. However, due to time constraints, it was postponed to the next major event. Recently, Stratus discussed her angle with The Man while speaking with Joshua Axelrod of the Post-Gazette.
First, she claimed she was going to put an end to all the time wasted by Becky Lynch. Furthermore, the Hall of Famer vowed to prove that she is the greatest of this generation by defeating her opponent. “We’ve had a good little run, and it’s been really fun. But it’s been a little long. I’m ready to move on, do other things and cross paths with other people” added Trish Stratus.
Evidently, the rivalry has dragged on longer than it was originally intended to. Fans have vocally criticized the poor booking of both women in the entire stretch. However, many have pointed out that Zoey Stark’s being featured prominently is a major positive. Hopefully, Lynch and Trish deliver at Payback and put an end to this prolonged feud.
