Popular manga artist and character designer Akira Toriyama‘s passing has sent shock waves not just among fans but among WWE superstars too. Many superstars paid him a tribute through countless social media posts. However, WWE superstars, Naomi and Zelina Vega paid homage to him in a very unique way.

The team of Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Zelina defeated Damage CTRL in a 6-woman tag team match at a live show in Alexandria, Louisiana. However, the moment that caught everybody’s attention was a heartwarming tribute by Naomi and Zelina. They recreated the moves of the characters Goku and Vegeta, who fused to make a stronger individual.

Akira Toriyama gave fans many memories with his amazing manga stories and anime, like Dr. Slump and Dragon Ball Z. Over the years, many superstars have come out cosplaying characters created by him. Most notably, The New Day came out wearing the Dragon Ball attire, While Rhea cosplayed as Vegeta during her match vs. Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36.

Damage CTRL’s betrayal of Bayley has certainly opened the door for some new rivalries. Naomi, who just made her return to Royal Rumble, was closely watching her get emotional in the interview. Even Jade Cargill confronted the notorious group after they brutally beat down Bayley. It will be interesting to see what transpires when the Role Model fights Iyo Sky at WrestleMania.

Zelina Vega asked for a name for her and Naomi’s fusion from fans on social media

WWE superstars Zelina Vega and Naomi paid a heartwarming tribute to one of the greatest manga artists, Akira Toriyama. They recreated the popular ‘Fusion Dance’ during their match vs. Damage CTRL at a live event. Now, the 33-year-old star has asked the wrestling community to name their fusion on social media.

Zelina took to X and expressed her love for anime by saying that she and Naomi are fused for life. Many fans came up with exciting names for the duo. While some fans suggested names like ‘Zelinity’ and ‘Zelnomi’, others went for fancy names like ‘Glowing Boriqua’ and ‘Hokage Glow’.

It was great to see all the anime fans paying tribute to Akira Toriyama with the WWE superstars on social media. His contributions to this industry will never be forgotten. As for Zelina, she is involved in a rivalry with the Legado Del Fantasma.
