Carmella recently made her way to the ring in a 'Lita-inspired' in ring gear. She had no idea Lita would also show up in the ring on the same day.

Carmella has returned to the WWE ring after a long hiatus. After a horrible year in 2022, the former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion is sure to make 2023 a very successful year for her. Her journey for the year has started off great and is expected to continue at its current pace.  

Carmella ensured a great start to the current run and marked her presence with new in-ring gear dedicated to the WWE legend, Lita. However, things turned quite awkward when she was present backstage, all set to make an in-ring appearance.

Speaking on After The Bell with Corey Graves, Carmella revealed the backstage conversation that she shared with the WWE Hall Of Famer. She freaked out to know that Lita was also backstage. “Oh Gosh, is she going to be mad at me? Is she going to say what are you doing? Take that off. I have nothing backup to wear, what am I going to do?” she thought.

Carmella went up to Lita and asked how she was. She also went ahead and asked if she wasn’t mad at her for her gear. However, Lita was very calm and happy. She called Carmella “amazing.” Her positive reaction calmed down the former SmackDown Women’s Champ and put an end to all the presumptions that she had made.

Why did Carmella choose to enter the ring in Lita style?

Lita has been a role model for many women in the world, and Carmella was no different. When she decided to walk towards the ring, she thought to make a change to her gear. She wanted to add a twist to her gimmick, so she added her own twist to it. Her attire was dedicated to her idol, Lita.

The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion walked to the ring in a bright-coloured top and trousers with her boxers showing. She later took to Instagram to share her photo shoot of the day and tagged Lita in the multi-slide post. The post received a lot of love from her fans all across the globe. 

Carmella went through a very heartbreaking time last year. Her abnormal pregnancy brought a very tough time into her life. However, she showed an excellent amount of courage and strength during that time. She has also decided to overcome the phase by making the most of her success in WWE.
