At WrestleMania 23, WWE held a “Battle of the Billionaires” match between Vince McMahon and Donald Trump. Vince lost the match, and this resulted in him getting his head shaved. Fans remember the time when the former WWE Chairman came out on an episode of Raw before Bobby Lashley embarrassed him.
Vince McMahon came down to the ring with a hat to cover his bald head. Before he could say anything, Bobby Lashley came down to the ring and tried to bully McMahon for his loss. Lashley took McMahon’s hat and tried to mock him. In order to hide his head, McMahon tried to take shelter under Lilian Garcia’s skirt, who was the WWE announcer at the time.
McMahon then pulled Garcia’s skirt, thus stripping her as he tried to run away. The hilarious segment is still remembered by fans as Vince McMahon trying to take revenge on Lashley and Trump but failing multiple times. The history between McMahon and the former President goes back decades, as both billionaires have been successfully running their businesses for over 40 years.
Donald Trump appointed Bobby Lashley, while Vince McMahon appointed Umaga to represent them at WrestleMania 23. The match was announced as a “Hair vs. Hair” match with Stone Cold Steve Austin as the special guest referee. Lashley defeated Umaga, which resulted in McMahon getting his head shaved by Trump, Lashley, and Austin after the match.
Vince McMahon defeated Bobby Lashley to become WWE ECW Champion
After the embarrassment that Vinnie Mac suffered at WrestleMania 23 and the weeks following the loss, the chairman was furious. He decided to take revenge on Bobby Lashley for shaving him bald with Donald Trump. Lashley was the WWE ECW Champion at the time and therefore, McMahon decided to attack him for the title.
The former WWE Chairman decided to bully Bobby Lashley as he teamed up with Shane McMahon and Umaga in a handicap match against him. With the help of his son and Umaga, Vince was able to get the victory and win the ECW title. It was a title that was once held by legends like RVD, Tommy Dreamer, and others.
The WWE’s rendition of ECW was a flop as it lacked all the original elements of the once-popular brand. McMahon winning the title angered fans even more, as he was the opposite of what the brand represented. The show was scrapped by WWE in 2010 after viewership kept declining with every episode.
