“We don’t need him”; When Seth Rollins blasted Dwayne Johnson for a potential in-ring return for the main event of WrestleMania

Seth Rollins has been one of the most prolific superstars in WWE lately. Though the Visionary has not found any championships in his side for a long time, he has delivered some of the best matches in the history of the company. The former 4-time WWE Champion has achieved almost everything in the company and has proved to be an all-time great.

Speaking of all-time greats, one name that can never be written off the WWE history is the People’s Champion, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. The Hollywood megastar has been a pioneer of the wrestling industry and has been an inspiration to numerous superstars in the roster now.

Dwayne Johnson is currently reported to make a return to WWE after a long time and that too face one of the biggest attractions and box office stars of the company currently, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Though the match is stil not confirmed, by the looks of it, the match is going to take place at WrestleMania 39 if the Hollywood megastar’s schedule allows him.

Seth Rollins though, didn’t like the idea of the Rock returning for the main event of WrestleMania 39 keeping the current scenario and the future of the WWE superstars in mind. Rollins said that if the main events of a stage like WrestleMania showcase legends, it would be very hard for the current superstars to become like Stone Cold Steve Austin or the Rock. Here’s what he said:

“Don’t get me wrong. I love Rocky. I think he’s great. Love everything he’s done for this business. But my gut, my first instinct, says we don’t need him. We don’t need him. If we’re not the guys who can main event WrestleMania, then how are we ever gonna be The Rock? How are we gonna be Stone Cold Steve Austin? We can’t hold on to these guys forever. We just can’t. To me, let’s do Seth Rollins-Roman Reigns before we do Seth Rollins-The Rock. That’s me.”
