Next John Cena? 3 superstars who are capable of the dreamy push
John Cena is the most polarizing superstar of the WWE and that is an established fact. While some sections of the fans loathe his presence; the other sections, especially the younger generation, adore his presence, even though his appearances have become limited for the past several years. John Cena is a 16-time world champion and has remained the face of the WWE for almost a decade. From his lackluster early stint as a baby face to transforming into a Rapper based heel role, and then being the leader of cenation, John Cena has done everything perfectly.
While it will be hard to find someone who can fill John Cena’s shoes, there are some superstars who can become as polarizing as him:
3: Humberto Carrillo
Humberto Carrillo has the required in-ring skills, charisma and the smiling lovable face and definitely he is liked by the younger generation of fans. Even though Humberto is in a heel run right now, WWE can capitalize on this and with slow steps, help him with developing his mic skills and make Humberto a Mega-Star.

2: Mansoor
Mansoor is young and has a lot of potential in him. WWE is certainly wasting a talent like Mansoor, who not only has the required in-ring skills but the required promo skills as well. Mansoor debuted on Raw in 2021 and was involved in a feud with Mustafa Ali. He ultimately was the victor in the feud and was notably cheered as a babyface. Mansoor is notably neglected by the WWE, but if this year he is lucky, enough WWE should utilize the Saudi wrestler in other feuds other than the yearly Crown Jewel Premium Live Event.
Here are some honorable mentions for John Cena 2.0:
- Big E: He hasn’t turned a heel for quite some time and is still loved by the fans.
- Drew McIntyre: The 2-time WWE Champion showed in the COVID times that he can carry over his strong shoulders.
- Cody Rhodes: He recently returned to the WWE and is a super babyface right now.
1: Theory
Theory is currently in the best storyline of his life and is already a champion in the WWE. Theory is obviously being groomed by the WWE’s Chairman, Vince McMahon himself. Formerly known as Austin Theory, the US Champ is just 24 years old and has all the potential skills to become the next John Cena of the company. He knows how to wrestle, has the body form liked by Mr. McMahon (pun intended), he can talk, and certainly he knows how to engage the crowd, despite, whether he is a heel or babyface.
