Is Omos really going to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39?

MVP laid out a WrestleMania challenge for the Beast Incarnate on behalf of his client Omos this past Monday on Raw, and the WWE Universe is not very pleased with it.

Is Omos really going to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39?

Brock Lesnar and Omos

On the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, the WWE Universe got a follow-up of Brock Lesnar getting disqualified at Elimination Chamber. However, it wasn’t the one that anybody had hoped for. In a backstage segment, MVP called Lesnar a coward for hitting Bobby below the belt on Saturday. He then brought in his other client, Omos, and challenged the Beast Incarnate for a match at WrestleMania.

This choice from WWE seems totally out of the blue. There weren’t any rumors, reports, or hints about this match before Monday. That is why the WWE Universe showed their displeasure with this odd direction on social media. Later in the show, it was confirmed that Lesnar will be on Monday Night Raw next week to answer Omos’ challenge.

While the match is still not official, it still feels like an uninspiring choice to follow up on the events at Elimination Chamber. There is still no clear winner between Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar and they have jumped to another feud instead. That being said, all of this still could be a ruse from MVP luring the Beast in, who might not expect MVP’s other client Lashley to be there.

Despite WWE’s best efforts, Omos’ run has been lackluster. The fans believe that the Nigerian Giant seriously needs to work on his in-ring abilities and personality before getting a push to the main event level. His uncharismatic and dull character fails to connect with the audience, barely getting any reaction. This is why the announcement of Omos vs. Brock possibly facing off at WrestleMania received such a negative response online.

While the obvious choice will be to have a rematch with Bobby Lashley at the Showcase of The Immortals, other potential opponents for Brock could work wonders as well. The most mouth-watering clash rumored for the Show of Shows is between the Intercontinental champion Gunther and Brock Lesnar. The SmackDown star is on a rampage over at the blue brand, laying out every challenger. Therefore, WrestleMania could be the place where the two titanic forces finally collide inside the squared circle.

Another potential match was teased last Friday on SmackDown when Bray Wyatt challenged the “winner” of the match between Lashley and Lesnar. While Lashley technically won, Lesnar was the one standing tall after all was set and done. The Beast and Wyatt have a long history going way back to 2016. The two superstars were supposed to have a match at WrestleMania back then. However, the storyline was suddenly dropped without any explanation. For a change, the fans would be hopeful that WWE changes their advertised plans for next week as they march ahead on the road to WrestleMania.
