The Golden State Warriors clashed with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night, November 14. While the Timberwolves picked up a massive win over the Warriors, the high point of the match was something else. An unbridled hullabaloo erupted in the basketball match, wherein Warriors’ player Draymond Green held his rival teammate Rudy Gobert in a WWE-style headlock.

Even before a single point was scored, within two minutes into the match, a massive melee broke out. All the players were running roughshod over one another. As soon as the scrimmage erupted, Green came out of nowhere and put Gobert in a WWE-inspired headlock. Interestingly, the same headlock happens to be the finishing maneuver of former WWE star Samoa Joe.

Two members of the Warriors team, including Draymond Green, were ejected from the game with immediate effect. The headlock Green used on Rudy Gobert is famously called the Coquina Clutch. Moreover, the submission move became exceedingly popular among wrestling fans due to AEW star Samoa Joe.

The superstar has rendered several WWE and TNA superstars unconscious by putting his opponents on the chokehold. Even behemoths like Brock Lesnar and Keith Lee have become the victims of Joe’s cold-blooded submission move.

Another user shared an old image of Green flaunting a customized WWE belt.

Dropping a hilarious comment, one user said, “Cody’s team has their 5th man for Wargames,” referring to Green as the final member. Another fan was amusingly fantasy-booking a match between Draymond Green and NJPW star Zack Sabre Jr. While many fans took the recent ruckus in light humor, a couple of fans criticized the NBA star in the comments.
