Next week, in over a year, WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite are going head-to-head on television. To counter the in-ring debut of Adam Copeland, a.k.a. Edge, WWE has stacked up NXT’s card, making it a star-studded show. The show will be graced by the appearances of John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Becky Lynch, Asuka, and Paul Heyman.
For some reason, WWE thought that might not be enough, and they’re now teasing The Undertaker as well. During this week’s SmackDown, the promotion ran a video package for the upcoming episode of NXT that ended with The Undertaker’s gong. Earlier, PWInsider reported that The Phenom will be at the Performance Center in Orlando next Tuesday.
That subtle Undertaker’s tease from WWE has corroborated the mentioned report. However, it added that even though the Hall of Famer will be there, it’s not clear whether he will appear on camera. However, if that does happen, the former American Badass could boast that he appeared on NXT too.
Meanwhile, Tony Khan would certainly be concerned with the way WWE is loading up the card for NXT. It might lead to a massive defeat in terms of viewership for Khan’s Dynamite, featuring Edge’s showdown against Luchasaurus. AEW would surely need something miraculous to pull things back. At the end of the day, it’s a comfortable situation for wrestling fanatics, as both companies are pushing their limits.
What The Undertaker said about NXT back in 2022?
During a NASCAR event in 2022, The Deadman discussed a variety of topics, including his stance on NXT. At first, the 58-year-old described the complex nature of being a WWE superstar. According to Taker, the in-ring skills of a wrestler don’t determine his or her stature. Moreover, it’s one’s ability to engage the fans in what is happening in that squared circle.

Continuing in that direction, The Undertaker said that NXT is a great platform for upcoming talents. The WWE legend put special emphasis on NXT’s ‘Black and Gold era’. It is one of the most exciting periods WWE has produced in recent years.
“NXT is a great way to nurture young talents. Thanks to the ‘Black and Gold’ brand, kids can grow physically and mentally,” said Taker. Now that he’s rumored to appear on the show this coming Tuesday, he might have to give some pep-talk to the budding superstars of tomorrow out there.
