Just when the fans were starting to get behind the unusual pairing of Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle, their short-term alliance met an unprecedented conclusion. Yesterday, The Super King of Bros publicly announced his WWE departure on X. That said, McIntyre has no more buddies by his side as far as his storyline is concerned. It appeared that the Scottish Warrior was eventually going to turn on Riddle at some point.
However, WWE wouldn’t be able to achieve the purpose even if they ever planned on doing so. Now, the questions start creeping in about Drew McIntyre’s imminent WWE direction. Without further ado, the promotion has itself announced the former WWE Champion’s next move. According to an official listing on the website, McIntyre will join Miz TV on this week’s Monday Night Raw.
This comes after last week’s explosive main event outing between Drew McIntyre and Jey Uso. After Jey refused The Judgment Day’s offer to join them, he eventually suffered the wrath of McIntyre’s Claymore kick and lost the match. After that, Judgment Day started to unleash on Main Event Jey.
Watching Jey Uso’s beating stirred strong emotions in Drew McIntyre, but he didn’t intervene as Cody Rhodes saved the day. With lingering questions from The A-Lister, McIntyre may seek answers this Monday or settle matters by kicking Miz’s head off.
It promises to be another eventful outing for the Scottish wrestler at the Toyota Arena in Ontario. It’ll be interesting to see if WWE acknowledges Matt Riddle’s connection with McIntyre, especially after a WWE spokesperson hinted that Riddle “burned through too many chances” in WWE.

Drew McIntyre completely ‘pissed off’ with Cody Rhodes
Ever since Cody Rhodes brought Jey Uso to RAW, Drew McIntyre has been fuming in anger. He even teased during a backstage segment that he might have to deal with The American Nightmare if things go out of control after Jey’s addition to the red brand. Last week, both McIntyre and Rhodes came ever so close to each other. However, they’re yet to lock horns in an official capacity. Also, WWE has not revealed Jey’s trade compensation to SmackDown.
Fans believe it could be Cody Rhodes jumping ship to the blue brand, which is still uncertain. At the moment, The Prodigal Son is hellbent on cementing Jey Uso’s position on RAW. That in itself is enough to disgruntle Drew McIntyre.
It does appear like the Scottish Warrior is about to explode at any given moment. If anything, a heel turn for Drew McIntyre could prove vital in revitalizing his WWE career once again.
