This week’s SmackDown brought some spectacular surprises for the fans. WWE has announced the unification of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship and the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship. The latter has not been very relevant since its debut. It hasn’t been very popular among the fans either.

These titles have been changed quite frequently in WWE. Moreover, the title defenses have not gotten much hype from the fans lately, as they seem to have lost interest in them. That’s the reason WWE has come up with this unique idea of unifying the tag team titles of the main roster and NXT.

Currently, the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles are held by Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler. On the other hand, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn holds the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships. On the recent episode of SmackDown, Fyre and Dawn came face-to-face against Rousey and Baszler.

Both teams had a heated exchange of words. As a result, a massive brawl broke out between all the superstars. There were bodies all around, as none of them were willing to back down. In the end, the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions stood tall as Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler were kicked out of the ring.

WWE announced the title unification match two weeks from now, on SmackDown. This match would definitely be a treat to watch for the fans. The WWE Universe believes that the unification idea is actually quite good. Whoever will be the champions will have to defend the titles in all three brands. There will be more challengers and more competition.

Shayna Baszler spoke to MMA Fighting in a recent interview. She revealed how Ronda Rousey motivated her after her loss in “The Ultimate Fighter” season 18. Shayna was a fan favorite to win the match and the entire tournament during that time. However, she lost the fight and was very dejected.

The Queen of Spades said that Ronda Rousey, who was her coach at that time, gave her the advice, which she still remembers. Baszler revealed that Rousey motivated her and told her that her loss was not the end. The Rowdy One said it might mean something bigger in the future, and she would thank God because of that.

Apparently, Shayna Baszler listened to it, and now she is a popular wrestler in the WWE. Currently, she and Ronda are the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Time has taken a huge turn, and she must be loving her professional life now.
