Following the events at the Royal Rumble, Jey Uso was not seen on SmackDown last week after walking out on The Bloodline. The Usos were set to defend the SmackDown tag titles on the latest episode of SmackDown against Strowman and Ricochet. However, only Jimmy Uso walked out to defend the titles on his own until his brother Jey joined him from the crowd. The Usos retained the SmackDown tag titles in an amazing match, continuing their legendary 570+-day reign.

Following the match, Jey Uso was asked by Jimmy Uso about his loyalty towards The Bloodline. However, Jey didn’t give a candid answer to the question that is on everyone’s mind. During the backstage segment, Paul Heyman was seen secretly listening to the conversation between Jimmy and his brother. Heyman then told Jimmy that the Tribal Chief wants him and Jey to stay home next week. Heyman stated, “Sometimes you see things on TV, that you don’t see when you’re here live.”

However, there is a legal reason why The Usos cannot enter Canada for WWE events. Jimmy Uso has a DUI (Driving Under Influence) charge against him that does not allow him to travel to the Great White North. WWE, therefore, found a creative way to hide the real reason behind their absence next week.

The drama continued with Jey wandering around backstage, only to see Sami Zayn on his way. This was the first meeting between Sami and Jey after the events that took place at the Royal Rumble. Appreciating him for his actions at the Royal Rumble, Sami told Jey that he acknowledges him. It will be interesting to see how The Bloodline story plays out next week.

The ongoing tag team title reign of The Usos is the longest reign in WWE history with more than 570 days. With their countless incredible retentions, the question still remains: who will dethrone them and when. According to rumors, WWE is planning a tag team championship match at WrestleMania between The Usos and Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

If the rumors are to be believed, Sami is definitely going to lose against Roman Reigns at the Elimination Chamber. However, the match at the Chamber could involve Jey Uso and Kevin Owens to take the story further and set up the tag team title match for WrestleMania.

After Sami betrayed The Bloodline at the Royal Rumble for Owens, the reunion is bound to happen someday. And what better place could it be for Sami, and Kevin, to reunite than their hometown, i.e., Montreal, Canada? While many fans believe Sami is entitled to a better payoff, dethroning The Usos after the longest tag title reign could be a fitting conclusion.
