Breaking: WWE gives an update on Cody Rhodes return; period of recovery revealed
Cody Rhodes displays his pectoral injury at Hell in a Cell.
On Friday Cody Rhodes’ wife and former WWE Wrestler Brandi Rhodes shared an update on her husband’s status, she said that the doctors had repaired his pectoral muscle, which had been entirely ripped away from the bone. She added that, Cody Rhodes is now on his road to recovery. Days before his surgery Rhodes had revealed a photo of how the swelling had increased and spread to his arm.
Cody Rhodes has been unbeatable against Seth Rollins and just when the WWE Universe thought that the feud had concluded, Rollins attacked “The American Nightmare” from the back at this week’s Monday night RAW, which indicated that Seth “Freakin” Rollins is not done yet with Rhodes.

WWE reveals the time for which Cody Rhodes will be out of action
WWE has stated that Cody Rhodes will take a long time to heal from his injury. Cody Rhodes fought in “The Hell in a Cell” against Seth Rollins despite his total Pectoral Muscle injury. Rhodes performed with solid guts and won the match against Rollins, who showed no remorse and kept hitting blows, sticks on Rhodes’ injured part.
This Morning, The WWE shared an update regarding his return. WWE revealed on their social media handle that Dr. Jeffrey Dugas has performed a successful surgery on Rhodes to reattach his pectoral tendon. WWE, then declared that Cody Rhodes will have a long recovery and he won’t be able to wrestle for the next nine months.
Whether or not Cody Rhodes will return prior to the estimated time or not, we don’t know. John Cena’s road to recovery time after a torn pec in 2007 was also expected to be ranging from six months to a year, but Cena recovered in 4 months and returned at the Royal Rumble 2008. He tossed powerful men over the rope just after 4 months and won the royal rumble 2008. So we never know and hope the best for Cody Rhodes.
Many WWE Universe reacted to the post sadly, whereas others speculated him to return at Royal Rumble 2023, with some saying that “the American Nightmare” is also tipped to win the Royal Rumble and begin his path to capture the WWE Championship.
