When WWE Hall of Famer recalled how she was forced into an infamous in-ring s*x celebration

WWE Hall of Famer Lita has always been in news for her relationships. While WWE is a PG product now this wasn’t the case always. As rumors of WWE turning back to TV-14 are heating, let’s look back at one of the most infamous segments in WWE history. It was the ruthless aggression era and Edge was feeling on top of the world after winning his first WWE Championship. Edge was presenting The Rated R superstar at that time and to take things to the next level he decided to have a live s*x celebration in the middle of the ring with her on-screen girlfriend and Lita.
While WWE was an edgier product at that time a real s*x celebration in the middle of a wrestling ring is still too much to handle on live television. A former WWE writer Christopher Joseph once revealed how the creatives had come up with the segment. He said that Vince McMahon had asked him what he would do if he had won his debut WWE Championship to which Joseph had replied – “I would have s*x with my girlfriend in the middle of the ring for everybody to see.” While it was clearly a joke from Joseph’s side Vince actually found the idea to be interesting and proceeded to implement it.

WWE Hall of Famer Lita in a twitch stream also revealed how uncomfortable she was when Vince pitched the idea to her. Lita revealed that she tried to protest against “the boss” but got rebuked and was threatened that she’ll be fired if she doesn’t obey the orders. In a separate interview with Chris Jericho, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed that Vince actually wanted her to be fully naked in front of the crowd, but the idea was quickly protested by her and fellow employees which would then change to Edge and Lita making love inside a cover.
Lita revealed that both Edge and John Cena both had tried to convince to not to move further with the segment but Vince would not pay heed to it. Nevertheless, the segment happened where Lita and Edge would make love in the ring on a bed placed in the middle of the ring before the party was crashed by the WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair who would be attacked by Edge before John Cena would come to his rescue and AA Lita in the ring while Edge watched sitting on the ramp helplessly.
The segment has gone on to become one of the most infamous segments in the history of the company. Unhappy with how Vince handled the situation Lita would soon leave the company as well. But it seems the company and the Hall of Famer have made the necessary amendments as she appears from time to time on WWE programming.
