WWE and Hollywood are no strangers to each other, as many celebrities have appeared on wrestling shows in the past. Stars like Snoop Dogg and Gabriel Iglesias have graced fans with their presence in WWE. With WrestleMania 40 nearing, reports are suggesting that the Stamford-based company is trying to collaborate with Sylvester Stallone.

WrestleVotes broke the news on X, speculating that WWE is interested in somehow including Stallone at WrestleMania. Although it’s not decided in what way he will become part of the Show of Shows, there is some hope that he will be a part of it. WrestleMania 40 will be held in Philadelphia, a place with which he has a special connection.

The 77-year-old made an appearance in WWE when he inducted Hulk Hogan into the Hall of Fame in 2005. Philadelphia is like a second home to Stallone, as it was there that his iconic Rocky movies were made. His documentary ‘Sly’ released last year tells his underdog story and its parallels with the characters he brought to life.

Fans are pretty excited after hearing the news about Sylvester Stallone, but it has not been confirmed yet. Some fans predicted a video package of WrestleMania would include Stallone as a guest. It will be interesting to see in what form he takes part at the Show of Shows in Philadelphia.

Which matches have been confirmed for WrestleMania 40?

WrestleMania 40 is getting closer, and wrestling fans around the world are excited to see their favorite superstars. It is all set to take place in less than 2 months. This two-night event is scheduled for April 6 and 7, 2024, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As of now, there are just two confirmed matches on the card.

The Women’s Royal Rumble winner Bayley chose Iyo Sky as her opponent, and she will challenge her for the WWE Women’s Title at WrestleMania. Meanwhile, the Men’s Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes was once out of the equation with the inclusion of The Rock, but finally, he will battle Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania. 

The winner of the Men’s and Women’s Elimination Chamber matches will make two more matches official. Seth Rollins and the winner of the match between Rhea Ripley and Nia Jax are waiting for their challengers to win their respective Elimination Chamber matches and battle at the Show of Shows. Many more matches will be official on the road to WrestleMania.
