Amid growing fuss about Brock Lesnar‘s reinstatement on WWE’s official roster page, an update is making the rounds regarding his potential return to the company. Originally set to emanate at this year’s Royal Rumble, The Beast Incarnate was held back following his alleged involvement in Vince McMahon‘s se*ual trafficking lawsuit. It’s now been reported by Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live that moves have been made regarding him in the past few days.
Bryan affirmed that he’s not claiming that Brock will be back. Just that there’s been some movement in that regard within WWE as of late. Alvarez added that it’s a bad idea in the first place. Recently, WWE announced Paul Heyman’s induction into their Hall of Fame class of 2024. And it’s worth mentioning that Brock Lesnar was heavily factored into the official press release. As everyone knows, Heyman spent years of his career as Lesnar’s manager.
On March 8, WWE unveiled the 2K24 video game. There was a palpable commotion among the fans about whether The Beast would make it into the game or not. As per Insider Gaming, it was too late to axe the 10-time World Champion. However, at least, the developers have made his version unplayable upon its release.
In the last few days, there have been moves regarding Brock Lesnar. I should add regarding Brock. I'm not saying he's going to be back. It seems like a bad idea to me. Put it that way.Bryan Alvarez on Brock Lesnar’s return situation
Brock’s mention in the Janel Grant-filed lawsuit precluded his appearance in the men’s Royal Rumble match. He was replaced by Bron Breakker. Not only that, Lesnar’s expulsion had its dominoes on the WrestleMania XL match card too. He was initially set to face Gunther at The Showcase of the Immortals. However, that spot has now been occupied by Sami Zayn following his herculean performance in this Monday’s gauntlet match.
What was Brock Lesnar’s last match in WWE?
It’s been almost half a year since Brock Lesnar was last seen in WWE. Back in August at SummerSlam, he battled Cody Rhodes to close their trilogy.
Though Brock Lesnar lost, he seemingly turned face as he endorsed The American Nightmare in front of a packed Ford Field in Detroit. One would imagine that he would’ve been the babyface had his rumored program with Gunther stayed on course.
Now that WWE falls under the TKO umbrella, the modus operandi is stringent. And it would be interesting to see if the top brass over there entertains the idea of The Beast Incarnate’s return in the future.
