WWE officially announces date for Crown Jewel 2023
WWE will once again have a trip to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as Crown Jewel is set to take place next month in November.

WWE Crown Jewel 2023
WWE kicked off its annual schedule of Saudi Arabia visits with Night of Champions this year. The company finally provided an update on the second premium live event that will take place in the country. WWE has announced that its upcoming show in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be Crown Jewel. It will take place on November 4 next month in Riyadh.
During Fastlane 2023, WWE made the official announcement in a video package, stating the tagline to be Big Time. With more description, Crown Jewel was referred to as jaw-dropping, record-breaking, and history-making, considering their last five years of visit. The event powered by SNB under the Riyadh Season looks massive this time.
Crown Jewel’s venue is still unkwon, but WWE has confirmed it will be a stadium event. Scheduled for 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT, the event will stream live on Peacock and WWE Network in the US. Tickets are expected to go on sale once the venue is announced, possibly in the coming week.
The upcoming premium event in Saudi Arabia will feature top stars like John Cena and Jey Uso. Roman Reigns will most likely defend his title against AJ Styles at this event, which could be Cena’s last appearance after a two-month continuous run.

WWE Night of Champions held in Jeddah earlier this year in May
WWE’s schedule of two visits to Saudi Arabia was somewhat delayed this year in May. Generally, WWE tends to wrap up their first event before WrestleMania, but this time was a bit different. May 2023 saw two events, starting with Backlash and month-end saw Night of Champions in Jeddah on May 27, 2023, at the Jeddah Superdome.

The stacked event had three main event matches. The World Heavyweight Championship tournament final match kicked off the event with Seth Rollins’ victory over AJ Styles. The second match was between Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes, which was a rematch of Backlash.
The main event saw Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens defend their Undisputed Tag Team Titles against The Bloodline. The ending of the match changed the landscape of WWE with the implosion of Roman Reigns’ faction due to Jimmy Uso’s outrageous superkick. The event was an overall success, setting a benchmark for Saudi’s upcoming events.
