The most recent episode of SmackDown was an emotional one for the WWE Universe. This week saw the industry lose two legends, Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk. Thus, the promotion decided to pay tribute to both men. At the beginning of the show, a ten-bell salute was made before Wyatt’s famous rocking chair was shown on the stage. Meanwhile, the crowd sang the Eater of Worlds’ “He’s got the whole world in his hands.”

Furthermore, video packages were displayed throughout the show about his legendary career. The entire journey of one of the most creative geniuses in business was showcased. Each stage was perfectly represented, from his debut to winning the WWE Championship. Moreover, Bray’s interactions backstage with several superstars and personnel revealed what a pleasant human being he was.

Afterwards, the live audience cheered while the wrestlers on stage looked emotional. Evidently, many were heartbroken by the demise of a truly unique superstar. The main event was between LA Knight and Finn Balor. While Knight was Wyatt’s last opponent, Balor was The Fiend’s first rival. The match was also to pay a tribute to the Eater of Worlds. According to reports, all future plans and meetings in the company were put on hold due to the shocking news.

Also, Jimmy Uso’s advertised appearance was scrapped entirely. Bray’s former Wyatt Family members, Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan, were invited to join the roster in mourning his death. The entire episode of SmackDown was in memory of the former Universal Champion.

The sudden demise of Bray Wyatt has left the wrestling world speechless and shocked. Wrestlers and fans of the business have penned heartfelt notes in memory of Windham Rotunda. Last night’s SmackDown was a special episode to show respect to the legacy of the third-generation superstar.

AEW, a rival promotion, released a statement of their own, joining others in mourning the demise of Bray. “Windham’s unique style and persona showcased his passion for the industry and desire for innovation,” they wrote. Moreover, they paid a tribute at the start of their Friday night show, Rampage.

Bray Wyatt had lost his friend, Jon Huber, better known as Luke Harper, almost three years ago. The former World Champion revealed he was crushed and devastated by the loss. Thus, fans are hoping that the brothers are now reunited in a better place. Bray Wyatt left a void that can never be filled.
