The Miz is arguably one of the most natural heels WWE has ever seen. The A-Lister made his debut in the company nearly two decades ago and has since established himself as a top-notch performer. Despite being a heel superstar on Raw, the former WWE Champion can enchant fans with his character. Recently, reports speculate that WWE is contemplating a babyface run for The Miz.
According to BWE on X, a few suggestions and ideas to give The Miz a babyface turn. The 43-year-old is being considered for a potential babyface turn to pair him up with the team of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa, DIY. The former NXT Tag Team Champions recently reunited after over two years on Raw.
The A-Lister even cut a babyface promo against Gunther on the latest edition of Monday Night Raw. However, Imperium ganged up on the 43-year-old later. Following a vicious beatdown, The Miz was making his way to backstage when he crossed paths with DIY. The latter team was to face Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser.
Last night’s segment on Raw was a major tease about Miz’s potential change in character. This will mark the A-Lister’s first babyface turn in four years and, overall, the second babyface turn in his career. Unfortunately, neither of his facial turns bore success in the long run. Thus, it will be interesting to see how Miz will look as a babyface this time around with Triple H in charge.
The Miz’s impending babyface turn is likely to build him up against Gunther
As mentioned in the above article, WWE is seemingly sowing the seeds for a babyface turn for The Miz. It was conspicuous on the latest edition of Raw. The A-Lister had a major segment with Gunther, indicating a potential match between the two superstars. The former delivered an impassioned babyface promo on the show.
On the latest edition of Monday Night Raw, The Miz was elated to invite Gunther as a guest on The Miz TV. However, he was interrupted by fellow Imperium members, Vinci and Kaiser. The 43-year-old roasted the two men and designated them as sidekicks. The Intercontinental Champion soon made his presence felt.
Gunther made his way to the ring only to insult Miz and his talk show. The 36-year-old went on to say that he has no respect for the latter. Furthermore, he suggested that the ring is sacred. Thus, what Miz does on his talk show is beneath him, much to the chagrin of the Awesome One. The former WWE Champion retaliated by saying that he elevated the Intercontinental Championship when it was in the depths of irrelevancy.
Going by the segment from the latest edition of Monday Night Raw, it is safe to assume that the current plans are to set up a match between Gunther and the Miz. The potential match will finally settle the persistent debate about who is the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time between the Ring General and the A-Lister.
