Unknown WWE superstar
The Street Profits, consisting of Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, made their debut on NXT in 2016. They competed in the tag team division, often feuding with other teams, such as The Authors of Pain, The Undisputed Era, and The Forgotten Sons. In July 2019, The Street Profits made their main roster debut on Raw, initially serving as backstage hosts and commentators. They would eventually transition back to in-ring competition and win the Raw Tag Team Championship on two occasions.
Throughout their WWE career, The Street Profits have been known for their high-energy performances. While they are better as a team, Montez Ford has built a stand-out charisma around him out of the two. Ford has been impressing fans with his funny promos and performance inside the squared circle. Fans have been begging WWE to give Montez a well-deserved singles run in the WWE.
As per the reports, WWE management is set to present Montez as a singles competitor in the summer of this year. Reports suggested that Ford would most likely be put into the United States title picture. However, Fox has been reportedly asking WWE to switch the brands of The Street Profits and move them to SmackDown.
If The Street Profits will be drafted to SmackDown, WWE could possibly come up with a different plan for Montez instead of the U.S. title. Regardless of being on Raw or SmackDown, Ford is definitely getting a long-awaited singles push. It remains to be seen what Triple H and the creative team have in store for Montez in the future.

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins got a singles opportunity apart from the tag team division. Both members of The Street Profits competed in the qualifying matches on Raw for the United States title Elimination Chamber match. Montez succeeded in punching his ticket for the Chamber. However, Dawkins failed to qualify.
At the Elimination Chamber, Ford was locked inside the Chamber with five other men to compete for the U.S. title. During the match, Montez fully capitalized on the lifetime opportunity provided to him. Ford showcased his high-flying capabilities and became a stand-out performer out of all the other competitors.
As he was going strong inside the steel structure, he succumbed to a kayfabe injury following a stomp by Seth Rollins on the outside floor of the chamber. However, he had nothing to be ashamed of, as he was praised by many, including Triple H. Ford’s performance inside the Chamber guaranteed a serious push for him going forward.
