The professional wrestling business runs with the motto “never say never”. It seems that these words are about to strike once again. In a recent revelation by a reliable WWE insider, BWE, CM Punk was recently scheduled for a call with a few WWE board members. The backstage feeling is that it’s happening, but that doesn’t mean it’s done.

The Crown Jewel 2023 event has concluded with a lot of surprises and spectacular moments. However, it seems WWE has a lot more surprises in store for its upcoming PPV. As teased on Crown Jewel, the upcoming slated event is WWE Survivor Series (War Games) which will be organized in the city of Chicago.

For those who are unaware, Chicago is CM Punk’s hometown. WWE, as seen historically, has dropped hometown surprises. Could it be that CM Punk might make his much-awaited return to the War Games? Nevertheless, fans were excited after hearing this news, and many took to ‘X’ to express themselves.

While nothing remains locked as of now, a mere beam of hope is all that matters for those fans who yearn to see the Best in the World once again in the WWE ring. One of the most popular and controversial wrestlers was once part of the AEW locker room. He was reportedly named for multiple confrontations and misbehavior with wrestlers like Kenny Omega, Young Bucks, and many others, which ultimately led to his release. It would be interesting to see how WWE handles such a volatile superstar.

Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins once told CM Punk to stay away from WWE

Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins has established himself as the face of Monday Night Raw. It seems that Monday Night Rollins has been pretty much a reality ever since he became the World Heavyweight Champion. Meanwhile, CM Punk left the WWE back in 2014. He spent a brief, unimpressive time in MMA, where he joined the UFC, and finally made a return to professional wrestling in 2021.

After several controversies, AEW terminated his contract. Since then, rumors about the Best in the World returning to WWE have been making waves. While fans are super excited, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins is a part of that small group that isn’t happy about these rumors. During an exclusive interview with WrestlingINC, earlier this year, he went on to call CM Punk “a cancer” and told him to “stay away”.

When one hears or reads such comments, the aggression behind them will become clear. However, the possibility that one might see these two greats stand toe-to-toe sounds equally exciting. Ever since Triple H took the reins of WWE Creative, many superstars have made their returns. So, it would be worth observing if the Best in the World would be the latest addition to those names.
