Zelina Vega opens up on having the freedom to deliver her own promos under Triple H’s regime

Zelina Vega, who returned to the company after a brief hiatus from the company and became the part of Legado Del Fantasma who made their main roster debut on SmackDown. The faction has been involved in a feud with Hitrow as Vega also looks out to make an identity as a singles competitor as well. The Smackdown superstar recently reflected on her time in the company under the new regime.

While appearing on the That’s Dope podcast and revealed how it’s being under Triple H’s creative control and also spoke about the freedom given to her regarding her promos. Since her return, Vega has been delivering promos for her faction and has been praised for her mic skills. She further said that both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have given her the freedom to improvise and cut her own promos.

While speaking on the above-mentioned podcast, Zelina said- “...it’s like, ‘Hey we can already trust you on the microphone you’re not gonna say anything that’s gonna get us in trouble. You’re gonna keep to your character so here’s the skeleton of what we need from you and just fill in the meat.’ So that’s kinda how it goes.”

Zelina said that both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon know her from quite some time and thus have entrusted her with the job to deliver her own promos. She also said that the duo believes that Zelina would not speak anything which would put the company in trouble and this definitely goes on to show how much faith hus the new management holds in their stars which was rarely to be seen under Vince McMahon’s regime.

WWE stars are professionally trained athletes who perform worldwide to entertain fans and the entertainment is telecasted worldwide. In the above mentioned interview Zelina Vega also revealed how it feels to be on a TV Taping and what exactly one has to keep in mind while appearing at it. While talking about the topic Vega said that when she enters the building she is told whom she will face.

She said that winners are predetermined for the match and thus they have to follow the protocol. She further said that if a superstar is involved in a storyline then there are specific moments and spots in the match that they are required to perform in order to make the storyline proceed in the direction as directed by the creatives. While the outcomes are predetermined the action in the ring involves real risks.

In the same interview Vega had also reflected upon the recent heat on Ronda Rousey and said that she absolutely loves her and also said that she has worked her way to the top. Vega felt that Ronda is one of the best ones to make a transition from the octagon to the squared circle and said that she has worked hard to get to the position where she is today.
