Finally, the long-standing beef between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus culminated at Payback last Saturday night. The 47-year-old legend made an early escape from the steel cage during the match. However, Lynch prevented her from doing so via multiple exploder suplexes. But Stratus soon gained control as she drove Becky’s frame into the unforgiving structure numerous times. The Man soon turned the tables, and she rammed her opponent’s face into the steel as well.

Moving forward, Trish Stratus escaped a wicked powerbomb. Becky Lynch went deep into her arsenal, delivering the Twist of Fate to the Hall of Famer and paying homage to Lita. Both women were on the verge of hitting the floor while slugging it out on the top of cage. However, Becky countered Trish’s attempt by delivering a superplex from feet above. Soon, Zoey Stark arrived on the scene, trying to help her.

However, Becky fought through the agony as she single-handedly teed off against Stark and Stratus. At the end, The Man lived up to expectations and pinned the Hall of Famer following an Avalanche Manhandle Slam. After that, Lynch went out, leaving just the tantalizing duo in the ring.

Trish Stratus shoved Zoey off, as the loss upset her. However, Zoey Stark answered with a hellacious Z-360, ending her alliance with the Toronto legend. Watch the video here.

It would be interesting to see if the now-disbanded pair would end up feuding on Raw. Also, it was one of Becky’s best matches of the year. She would now be hoping to move on from Trish and start her ascendance to the top of the WWE women’s division once again.

Needless to say, throughout her coalition with Trish Stratus, Zoey Stark was just a sidekick. However, she learned from the best and is now ready to showcase her abilities. Stark has already had some thrilling encounters with Becky Lynch on various episodes of Raw. As a matter of fact, the 27-year-old upstart has all the tools to be a main-event-level player in WWE.

Now that she’s no longer under Trish’s tutelage, the former NXT superstar can explore more options. At the moment, there’s no word on Stratus’ WWE future. If she plans to continue as a regular member of the roster, she could have that one last match against Zoey. However, it’s totally up to the Hall of Famer and what WWE management wants from her at this point.
