WWE fired MSK’s Nash Carter earlier this week citing abuse claims from his wife, Impact Wrestling star Kimber Lee. The news comes just days after MSK defeated Imperium to win the NXT Tag Team Championships at the NXT Stand & Deliver event. Hence, it has forced MSK to surrender the NXT Tag titles.
Nash Carter has been released and new champs will be crowned next week
The WWE has sacked Nash Carter, one-half of the new NXT Tag Team Champions and the MSK tag team. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful spilt the beans first, however, no official announcement has been made yet. On Monday, Carter’s spouse, Impact Wrestling’s Kimber Lee, alleged him of domestic assault after the superstar released a series of images revealing injuries on her face. When the allegations first surfaced, WWE did not issue a statement.
Nash Carter and Wes Lee had just won the NXT Tag Team Championships for the second time two days previously, defeating Imperium and The Creed Brothers in a triple threat match at NXT Stand & Deliver at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. Owing to the allegations, WWE had to release Carter and thus, the NXT Tag Team Titles have been relinquished, according to WWE. It has also been announced that new champions will be crowned on Tuesday’s NXT 2.0 edition. MSK was not mentioned in WWE’s release, and Nash Carter’s departure has not been acknowledged as of now.
Grayson Waller and Sanga vs. MSK with the titles on the line had been announced for Tuesday’s show before Carter’s departure, but that was before Carter’s departure. There is currently no indication on who will compete for the titles on Tuesday, nor on what this implies for Wes Lee’s future.
