McAfee's reaction to Chris Rock - Will Smith incident
Pat McAfee is one of the most consistently rising names in the world of professional wrestling. He had started off his career as a placekicker and was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2009 NFL Draft. But since then, McAfee has expanded his wings into several industries. In addition to being a former football punter, he is also a podcaster, sports analyst, commentator and more recently, a professional wrestler.
Currently signed on as the color commentator for WWE Smackdown, McAfee is gearing up for his big main roster debut. He will be in action at Wrestlemania 38, against Austin Theory. The fans as well as the company are absolutely loving McAfee – who isn’t like the traditional WWE commentators. He has his own unique, unfiltered take on anything and everything.
Earlier during the day, the world was hooked on to the Oscars 2022. While it wasn’t turning out to be an uneventful night – until Chris Rock arrived to present the best documentary award. He had prepared a short comedy routine too – which involved him making fun of Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair.
The joke didn’t go down too well with the eventual Oscar winner for the Best Actor – Will Smith. He walked up to Rock and punched him hard across the face and shouted “Keep my wife’s name out of your f*****g mouth.” Rock handled the situation pretty well and continued with the proceeding.
Clearly Pat McAfee was as shocked as the entire world. He put out a snippet of the incident with the tweet – “Hey…s**t went DAHN at the Oscars”. It didn’t really seem like a scripted moment, as legendary actor Denzel Washington was later seen consoling Smith.
Pat McAfee will be in action at Wrestlemania 38
As soon as Will Smith punched Chris Rock – memes started pouring in for a Wrestlemania match between Smith and Rock. Many even went as far as hilariously speculating that this segment was the idea of WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. While these are just jokes, one man who is going to be in action at Wrestlemania is Pat McAfee.
The Smackdown commentator recently welcomed Vince McMahon on The Pat McAfee show. While McMahon’s appearance on the show itself was massive for McAfee, the WWE CEO topped it. He offered McAfee the opportunity to perform at the Showcase of Immortals. It was later revealed that he will be facing Austin Theory in his first main roster match.
