WWE is on a roll, having international PLE one after another. As they get ready for the next event in Saudi Arabia, which is King and Queen of the Ring, it seems they have braced themselves for the next one as well. As per some reports, WWE has started their preparation and even finalized a huge championship match for Clash at the Castle in Scotland.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has planned a match between Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre for the stacked event in Scotland. It is going to be for the World Heavyweight Championship, which is a long-awaited shot for the Scottish Warrior.
Besides, the two stars even seemingly confirmed this match on Raw this week. The Punisheropenly gave a shot to McIntyre for his championship. It makes sense, as fans have already speculated that this match is going to take place in Drew’s home country. Therefore, the stakes are all-time high.
As of now, the Scottish Warrior has been suffering from an elbow injury. However, it is highly likely that McIntyre might reign supreme in front of his home crowd and win the championship for good. With the current animosity between him and the World Champion, it is going to be interesting to see how things are going to lead up to the Clash at the Castle.
Drew McIntyre claims he is setting up the bar on Raw
Drew McIntyre has been on a run of ebbs and flows in WWE. After being at loggerheads with stars like CM Punk, Jey Uso, and Seth Rollins, the Scottish Warrior has elevated his sense of achievement. Recently, the former World Champion made an audacious claim about setting the bar on Monday Night Raw.
The 38-year-old superstar claimed that he is elevating talents on Raw. He mentioned the top stars on the Red Brand, saying that the Visionary had to go to his limits to take down the Scottish-born. He also took some hilarious shots at Main Event Jey and The Best in the World as well.
McIntyre also talked about his interaction with Damian Priest this week in the post. This is top-tier character work in recent memories. Fans have been invested in Drew’s new character from the start, and now it seems they are getting the fruits of the wait with such an amazing performance.
