“Historic appearance”: Randy Orton set to make a massive record at Wrestlemania 38

Orton

Randy Orton is inarguably one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. A third-generation professional wrestler, Randy is often considered to be among the greatest Heels in the business. He has been with WWE since over two decades now and has portrayed several gimmicks but the fans love him in his The Viper and the Legend Killer avatar.

Throughout his tenure with WWE, Orton has won a total of 20 Championships in the company, 14 of which are World Championships. In fact, he is second in the all-time record. Ric Flair and John Cena are on the top of the leaderboard with 16 World Championships each. Considering the fact that the Viper is the only one who currently performs every single week – he could well make the record his own.

Randy Orton also holds the record for becoming the youngest World Champion in the history of the company, at the age of 24. He recently broke the record for most PPV appearances in the history of the company as well as most appearances on Raw. But this isn’t all. The one-half of the current Raw Tag Team Champions is all set to make history once again when he walks into Wrestlemania 38.

When Randy Orton walks into Wrestlemania 38 with Riddle as the Raw Tag Team Champions, he will be creating history. He will become the first-ever Superstar, in the history of the company to have entered the Showcase of Immortals with all the top titles available on the roster.

He has entered Wrestlemania as the WWE Champion (Wrestlemania 24, 30), World Heavyweight Champion (Wrestlemania 30), Intercontinental Champion (Wrestlemania 20), United States Champion (Wrestlemania 34) and now the Raw Tag Team Champion (Wrestlemania 38). No other Superstar has walked into the event holding all the titles.

The Raw Tag Team Championships are set to be on the line at Wrestlemania Sunday. Randy Orton and Riddle will be defending their titles against not only one but two teams. The Street Profits as well as The Alpha Academy are chasing the titles. Considering how pumped Orton has been regarding his current title run, it seems unlikely that he would be giving up the title easily.

The long-term plan is to eventually break up the team of RK-Bro and have Riddle feud against Orton. But this plan is going to be implemented later rather than sooner as Orton suggested that the team should continue for now! Considering the performance of the three teams on a recent Raw episode, they have the potential to become the highlights of the night.
