WWE Raw results 05/04/2021 (Drew McIntyre faces Corbin, Asuka and Ripley team up)

This is the final WWE Raw episode before WWE Wrestlemania 37. The show kicked-off with Drew McIntyre making his way down to the ring as the attack on him by Corbin was highlighted.
Drew McIntyre’s segment

McIntyre mentioned that we were 5 days away from Wrestlemania. Just like last year, he is again going after the WWE Championship. He has a lot of things to deal with. Lashley. Corbin. Him and Lashley have taken different paths in their 20-year journeys to reach the WWE Championship.
But there was one thing that separated them. Sacrifice. They’ve missed weddings, birthdays and Christmases due to their life on the road. But Lashley made up for all of that when he went home. McIntyre never had that luxury. He had to leave his home and his family to get the WWE Championship.
McItyre remembered that he was wrestling even when his mother was taking chemotherapy. He would talk to her on Skype and she told him that she would kick his a** if he gave up on his dream. McIntyre even got fired, worked hard and came back. And no one can beat a man who is willing to sacrifice everything.
WWE Champion Bobby Lashley

The All Mighty walked out to the stage with MVP. He asked if McIntyre was done. Lashley agreed that it took both of them a long time to become the Champions. But McIntyre’s time was over. It was the era of All Mighty.
Last week, Lashley saw fear in the eyes of McIntyre. He was out when the Hurt Lock was applied, and Lashley will be doing that again at Wrestlemania. MVP said that after McIntyre’s match on Raw, he might not even make it to Wrestlemania.
King Corbin walked out. He agreed with MVP. Corbin mentioned that last week he started something and he will end it today.
Xavier Woods def. AJ Styles

As the match began, the duo circled around the ring before Styles punched Woods. Styles knocked him to the corner and continued punching. He whipped Woods into the ropes and connected with a hip toss.
Styles showed-off in the ring. Woods got to his feet and punched back. Styles took him down and applied a Calf Crusher. Kofi Kingston got on the microphone saying Omos gave his best, but they were still standing. Kingston threw the microphone at Omos and ran off.
Omos didn’t feel it and chased Kingston into the ring. Styles lets go of the Calf Crusher. Woods caught Styles with an inside cradle for the win.
Braun Strowman def. Elias and Jaxson Ryker

Elias and Jaxson Ryker double-team Strowman from the start, but he quickly overpowered them. Strowman sent Ryker over the top rope with one hand before clubbing away at Elias. Ryker saved his teammate from a Running Powerslam.
Elias hit a Sympho-Knee before they hit a double-team back suplex. Ryker hit a diving head-butt before Elias connected with a diving elbow drop. They both lay on Strowman to cover him, but he kicked out.
Shane McMahon made his way down the ramp and took off his jacket. Strowman powered Elias and Ryker away. He clubbed Elias down and hit Ryker with a Running Powerslam. Strowman then hit Elias with a Running Powerslam for the win.
Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler def. Asuka and Rhea Ripley

Asuka started against Shayna Baszler. Asuka took Baszler down and went for a shoulder block, but Baszler countered it. Baszler mocked Asuka and mentioned she knocked her tooth out. Asuka took her down and went to tag in Rhea Ripley, but Ripley won’t tag in.
Baszler blindsided Asuka as Ripley finally tagged in. Ripley grabbed Baszler and body slammed her. Nia Jax tagged in. Ripley went for another body slam, but Jax stayed on her feet.
Asuka applied an octopus stretch, but Jax got out and avalanched her. Asuka hit a double knee facebuster and forced Ripley in. Reginald got in the ring, but Ripley grabbed him. Jax drove Ripley into the apron.
Asuka hit Baszler with a kick to the head before connecting with a German Suplex. She hit a sliding knee, but Baszler kicked out. Asuka went to the top rope, but Ripley pushed her off to the floor.
Ripley then hit a facebuster on the floor. Ripley threw her tag partner into the ring as Baszler kneed Asuka for the win.
Bobby Lashley def. Cedric Alexander

Before the match began, Alexander and Benjamin double-teamed Lashley. They dominated him for a few moments, but MVP, who was on commentary wasn’t worried. Lashley fought out and took Benjamin out.
Lashley attacked Alexander before hitting a body slam. He threw Alexander across the ring twice and then outside the ring. Benjamin checked on Alexander. Lashley chased Alexander back in. Lashley hit a running shoulder on Alexander in the corner followed by a vertical suplex.
Lashley threw him out of the ring again. Benjamin distracted Lashley, as Alexander kicked him into the steel steps. Alexander hit two suicide dives. Lashley fought back with a slam. Benjamin told Lashley to stop. Lashley sent Alexander into the ropes for a spinebuster followed by a Hurt Lock submission for the win.
Benjamin got in the ring and attacked Lashley when he didn’t let go of Alexander. Lashley hit Benjamin with a flatliner and then put the Hurt Lock on Benjamin before throwing him down. Lashley and MVP stood tall in the ring.
Bad Bunny and Damian Priest’s segment

Damian Priest and Bad Bunny made their way to the ring. Priest said Miz and Morrison were just jealous of Bad Bunny. Miz was so worried about Bad Bunny that he could only hold the WWE Championship for a week.
Priest suggested they up the ante for WrestleMania and make it a tag match. Bad Bunny liked the idea. Miz crossed the line destroying his DJ set, disrespecting his music and fans… this Saturday, he’ll show Miz how to respect him. He’ll shut his mouth and whip his a**.
The Miz and John Morrison cut him off on the big screen and they accept the challenge.
Riddle def. Mustafa Ali

Sheamus was on commentary for the match. Ali was back to wearing his old pre-RETRIBUTION gear. Riddle fought with a gutwrench suplex and got out of the ring to put Sheamus’ hat on. Ali then hit Riddle with a side leg sweep on the floor.
Ali punched and kicked Riddle in the corner. Riddle fought back, but Ali stomped the bare foot. Ali applied a sleeper hold, but Riddle fell back with Ali on his back. Riddle ran wild on Ali and hit some running forearms before connecting with an exploder.
Riddle hit a Broton, but Ali countered with a Koji Clutch. Riddle applied a triangle, but Ali got a foot on the bottom rope. Ali quickly knocked him into the ropes and hit a front suplex into a gutbuster. Riddle countered out of a tornado DDT and hit Bro Derek for the win.
Drew McIntyre def. King Corbin

MVP was on commentary for the match. They locked up, and Corbin applied a waistlock before transitioning to a side headlock. McIntyre backed him into the ropes and whipped him off, but Corbin shoulder blocked him down.
MVP happily waved at McIntyre. McIntyre grabbed Corbin and applied a neck vice. Corbin tried to whip him off, but McIntyre held onto the headlock. Corbin quickly rolled out of the ring to recover. McIntyre chopped the chest, but Corbin reversed a whip to the corner.
Corbin quickly hit him with an out-and-in clothesline for a one count. McIntyre hit a pair of overhead belly-to-belly suplexes before taking Corbin down. He went for a Future Shock DDT, but Corbin got out of the ring. But McIntyre quickly sent Corbin into the ring post and the ring steps.
WWE Champion Bobby Lashley was shown watching backstage. Corbin dropped McIntyre on the apron and punched him before sending him into the ring post. McIntyre fell to the floor hard. Corbin connected with a chokeslam for a near fall. Corbin charged, but McIntyre hit a spinebuster for a near fall.
McIntyre hit a Glasgow Kiss and a Future Shock DDT for a near fall. Corbin caught McIntyre on the top rope and hit a superplex. MVP got up from commentary and said it’s not about beating McIntyre. It was about taking him out. MVP handed him his cane. Corbin went to swing it, but McIntyre ducked and hit the Claymore Kick for the win.
MVP backed up on the ramp as WWE Champion Bobby Lashley came out. They stared each other as the show ended.
