Roman Reigns has been the Universal Champion for a long time now. The Tribal Chief is one of the greatest Universal Champions of all time and his reign is getting better and better day by day. The championship reign has seen a lot of challengers who took Reigns to his limits but couldn’t pull the championship from his hands.
The Visionary Seth Rollins will challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble 2022 pay-per-view. The former Universal Champion will now get what he wanted for months and could be the one to dethrone Roman Reigns as the Universal Champion.
This week’s Friday Night Smackdown on Fox saw Adam Pearce get an order from the higher officials to choose a challenger of his choosing for Roman Reigns’ Universal Championship Royal Rumble. The WWE official took a walk backstage and found Seth Rollins as the best candidate to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at Royal Rumble 2022.
Brock Lesnar also had a challenge for Roman Reigns this week on Smackdown
The new WWE Champion Brock Lesnar came face to face with the Universal Champion Roman Reigns this week on Friday Night Smackdown on Fox. The Beast Incarnate and the Tribal Chief exchanged a lot of heat with each other during the segment and Paul Heyman also had a great role in it.
The segment started with Lesnar asking Reigns to give the WWE Universe what they wanted. He eventually challenged Reigns for a champion vs champion match which the Tribal Chief neither accepted, nor rejected. Things took a wild turn when Paul Heyman said he used to love Reigns which Lesnar reacted to aggressively. Reigns then defended Heyman which went forward with Heyman defending Reigns as well. This distracted Lesnar allowing Reigns deliver a superman punch to him.
