Ronda Rousey is one of the biggest personalities in the professional wrestling industry. After dominant runs in judo and MMA, she signed with WWE to kick off her run inside the squared circle. She debuted for the company at Wrestlemania 34 and went on to win the Raw Women’s Championship during the same year at Summerslam.

“The Baddest Woman on the Planet” headed into Wrestlemania 35 as the Raw Women’s Champion. She, along with Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, were a part of the first-ever women’s main event Wrestlemania match. Unfortunately, she lost the title to Becky Lynch, thereby ending her 231 day-long reign. This was also the second longest title reign in the history of the company.

Wrestlemania 35 was her final appearance for the company, before she returned after over four years at Royal Rumble 2022. She entered the Women’s Royal Rumble match at No.30 and eliminated Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair to win the title. While she brings a much-needed fire power to the roster, the backstage reaction hasn’t been quite the same!

A night after winning the Women’s Royal Rumble match, Rousey appeared on Raw. The fans were clearly not roaring in her favor. The reason for this could be the fact that her comments, years ago, against the WWE Universe. While the reaction of fans was expected, Ronda Rousey too delivered a promo as if she were a heel.

But here is where the issue arises. The company wants Rousey to be the babyface in this feud. But the way she delivered her promo and fans reaction indicate that she is a heel in this feud. While the management wants Rousey to act like a babyface, considering how deep she has hurt the WWE Universe – it is going to take a mammoth effort to get the fans to like her.
