“Getting ready for Round 2”: Ronda Rousey is proud of her bruises from Wrestlemania 38

Flair and Rousey

Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair battled for the Smackdown Women’s Championship at The Grandest Stage of Them All. With Wrestlemania 38 officially in the books, it would be fair to suffice that WWE really delivered a “Stupendous” event. The Baddest Woman on the Planet and the Queen delivered one of the best matches of the event.

Rousey had made her thunderous return to WWE at the 2022 Royal Rumble and she had gone on to win the Women’s Royal Rumble match. She challenged Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship at the Showcase of Immortals and kicked off a brutal feud against the 13-time WWE World Champion.

Over the course of the feud, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair not only exchanged some stern words but some brutal blows were exchanged too. Their match at Mania was everything that the fans expected it to be. While Rousey managed to force Flair to tap out, yet the Queen managed to retain the Smackdown Women’s title.

Irrespective of the result, both, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair delivered a memorable battle. Both of them were bound to walk away with some battle scars. But in a recent Instagram post, The Baddest Woman on the Planet mentioned that she is proud of her bruises and is now gearing up for Round 2!

“I honestly don’t mind getting scuffed up doing cool stuff, I like feeling that earned soreness – and this lip bruise is almost like a reverse lip liner, I think it’s kinda cute. The last 6 months the road to #wrestlemania38 has been arduous in ways no one could know without experiencing. I’m gunna allow myself to feel proud of my work yesterday, go take a bath, cuddle with my husband and baby, pet some cows, play some #horizonforbiddenwest – and get ready for round 2. see you guys on Friday,” mentioned Rousey.

Ronda Rousey didn’t mind being on the co-main event

The initial plans were to have the Smackdown Women’s Championship match in the main event of Wrestlemania Saturday. But at the last moment, WWE decided to shake things up a little bit. The KO Show, followed by “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s No Holds Barred match was made the main event of the night, where as Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair’s match became the co-main event.

Rumors soon started spreading around that Rousey was upset with the change – and this was the reason she hadn’t attended the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2022 Induction ceremony. But she soon took to Twitter to clarify that these were all baseless rumors.
