“My daughter will face Charlotte Flair in the main event”: Former WWE Superstar wants a match involving Smackdown Champion
Smackdown Women's Champion
Charlotte Flair is the most dominant woman on the WWE women’s division. She is the most successful woman in the history of the company – with 13 Championship reigns. Undoubtedly, every Superstar on the roster would aim to battle against the best, to be noticed by the entire WWE Universe.
Flair has been a Champion since Summerslam 2021. She won the Raw Women’s Championship at the event and has since exchanged the title with Becky Lynch for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. This exchange was enforced due to the WWE Draft. Flair has since defended the title successfully against the likes of Toni Storm and Naomi.
The Queen is currently involved in a feud against the 2022 Royal Rumble winner Ronda Rousey. The Baddest Woman on the Planet will be coming after Charlotte Flair and her Smackdown Women’s Championship in the main event of Wrestlemania Saturday. So far, the feud has shown the potential of becoming one of the best matches on the card.
The numbers suggest that Charlotte Flair is one of the best on the roster. A former WWE Superstar also believes that his daughter needs to face the Smackdown Women’s Champion to make a name for herself in the business. Santino Marella, while appearing on Rene Dupree’s Café de Rene podcast, mentioned that his daughter Bianca Carelli should soon face Flair in a main event.
“The plan was really always about my daughter. I was a vehicle to make the opportunity for her. She’s gonna surpass anything I did in this business. She’ll be wrestling Charlotte in the main event in a couple of years,” mentioned Marella.
Charlotte Flair got emotional ahead of Wrestlemania 38
For the second time in their respective careers, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair will be main-eventing a Wrestlemania. Interestingly, the last time they had been in the main event – both of them ended up on the losing side, with Becky Lynch picking up the win in the Triple Threat match. But this time, it is a singles match and either of them is surely going to walk out as the winner. The current Smackdown Women’s Champion got emotional as she gears up for the match.
“There’s going to be a lot of emotions, just because it means so much to me. Not even as a performer and like being nervous or what it feels like. But I am like, man, I did it. My career is coming full circle. I won the Raw Women’s Championship, the inaugural championship WrestleMania 32 at AT&T Stadium, and now seven years later, it’s Rousey vs. Flair in the main event. I’ve just been so fortunate,” mentioned Flair while on Superstar Crossover with Josh Martinez.
