Sasha Banks and Naomi, the newest Tag Team on the WWE roster are now the new Women’s Tag Team Champions. The Women’s Tag Team Championship match was the only Women’s match on the Wrestlemania Sunday card. Carmella and Queen Zelina walked in as the Women’s Tag Team Championship match. They’ve held the titles since November 2021 after they defeated Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H.

But this title was the most likely to change hands considering Carmella & Queen Zelina had to defend against not one, not two, but three Tag Teams. Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan, Sasha Banks & Naomi and the team of Natalya & Shayna Baszler were all vying for the Women’s Tag Team titles in the Fatal 4-Way Tag Team match.

The Tag Team of Sasha Banks and Naomi had formed after the Elimination Chamber PPV. Interestingly, Naomi was then teamed up with Ronda Rousey but that turned out to be just a one-off thing. But fans loved the team of Banks and Naomi and they were the favorites to pick up the win. After an all-out brawl between all the 8 woman – The Boss and Glow emerged victorious.

Banks pinned Carmella to kick off her third reign as one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Championship. Interestingly, this also ends the dreadful Wrestlemania streak for Sasha Banks. Wrestlemania 38 was the seventh appearance for the boss at the Showcase of Immortals and surprisingly, it was her first win at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

The Boss is a multi-time WWE World Champion. While she has won the singles Championship numerous times in her career. Sasha Banks is equally successful in the Tag Team division as well, having won the Women’s Tag Team titles thrice in her career. While current reign is with Naomi, previous win came with Bayley.

Interestingly, Banks is infamous for always turning on her opponent. Hence, even with a huge win at Wrestlemania, its only a matter of time before Banks turns on Naomi. It isn’t about “will she?” its just about “when will she?”
